Install the Desktop App
First: download the Discord application to your computer.Â
If you are running MacOS:
- Click the download link: Download for MacÂ
- Save the download file “Discord.dmg” file (84 MB)
- Follow the prompts to install the app
If you are running Microsoft Office:Â
- Click the download link: Download for WindowsÂ
- Save and select the “DiscordSetup.exe” file (82 MB)
- Follow the prompts to install the app
You can also download the Discord app to your mobile device via iOS or Android. The mobile version gives you immediate access to Discord and can streamline making announcements and replying to students, among other things.
Note: although you can access Discord in your browser, the desktop application offers better sound and video quality, and fewer connectivity issues.
